Iris Hoi is a Registered Landscape Architect and Managing Director at URBIS Limited with decades of experience in award winning projects. She has a vast array of experience in projects in Hong Kong and China, and has extensive knowledge and working experience on government, institutional, infrastructure, parks, commercial, and residential developments. She has designed and help implemented community projects for HKSAR Government and NGOs; prominent institutional projects for universities and private schools; extensive parks and civil projects; rail and waterfront projects; projects for HKE and CLP; and public and private residential projects. She has extensive experience working in China projects in Beijing, Shanghai, Shenyang, Wuhan, Chengdu, Chongqing, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Sanya and Haikou. She is fluent in Mandarin and is able to communicate clearly and easily with professionals and clients. She sits in a number of professional and consultation bodies, most notably being the past President of The Hong Kong Institute of Landscape Architects. Other active involvement includes the Harbourfront Commission, Land and Development Advisory Committee, Development Bureau Horticulture Development committee, and member of the Hong Kong Institute of Urban Design. She is particularly interested in promoting best collaborative multidisciplinary practices leading to quality built environment and especially landscapes and open spaces.
