David is a Town Planner, Urban Designer and Landscape Designer. He is a Registered Professional Planner (RPP) and a professionally qualified Town Planner in Hong Kong (MHKIP) and the UK (MRTPI). He is also qualified as a Chartered Landscape Architect in the UK (CMLI)). He is a Director of URBIS Limited and also General Manager of URBIS (Shanghai) Limited. Having joined URBIS in 1996, David has over 28 years of international working experience in Hong Kong, the UK, the UAE and China during which, he has acquired extensive experience in all areas of planning, urban design and landscape architecture. David’s project experience includes work on national, regional and subregional planning and environmental policy, development planning and site masterplanning, placemaking, urban design, Transit Orientated Development; landscape and visual impact assessment and statutory planning applications. Projects he has worked on include residential and commercial developments, public open spaces, hospitals, police stations, highway corridors, railways, flood alleviation schemes, waste disposal, mineral extraction projects, habitat recreation, landscape planning and the restoration of historic landscapes. David’s projects have won design awards in the UK, USA and Hong Kong and he has been published in professional journals in the UK, Dubai and Hong Kong.
